Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD) PI Tests - BVD PI (persistently infected) animals show up in 10% of all herds. Infected animals typically show no visible signs of illness but will continue to shed the virus at a very high rate throughout their lives
API, Inc. uses the industry's latest and most effective analytical methods such as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and Antigen Capture ELISA providing 99% accuracy and next business-day results. API also provides follow-up testing on all positive animals.
Bovine Leukosis Virus (BLV) Test - BLV, affecting 88.5% of dairy herds and 38.7% of beef herds in the United States, is the number one cause of condemnation at slaughter facilities. The virus has also caused the demise of many A.I. sires, resulting in the inability to sell breeding stock.
API, Inc. uses an ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the detection of antibody to BLV. It is very accurate on either milk or serum. Test negative cows are BLV free.

EarlyPreg28 Pregnancy Test - EarlyPreg28 is a blood-based pregnancy test designed to detect pregnancy in cattle as early as 28 days post-insemination without invasive palpation.
EarlyPreg28 offers cattle operations the unique opportunity to detect pregnancy earlier and with greater accuracy relative to traditional pregnancy testing methods while also eliminating risk to the fetus due to palpation or ultrasound trauma. Additionally, the test provides producers and operators further time flexibility, allowing them to test for pregnancy on their own schedules.
EasyPreg Pregnancy Test - EasyPreg is an accurate milk pregnancy test designed to confirm or detect pregnancy in cattle as early as 35 days post-insemination without invasive palpation.

Neospora Test - Neospora caninum is a protozoal (Apicomplexan) parasite that is thought to be a leading cause of abortion and neonatal morbidity in dairy cattle.
Since there is no known drug to cure a cow of Neospora, parasite control is based on culling positive animals, preventing entry of infected replacements into the herd, and preventing likely routes of horizontal infection. Since clinical signs of illness due to Neospora are undetectable, testing for the parasite is the only means of identification.
